From ABCs to CVCs – Little Sounds, Big Learning!
Every big learning journey begins with small steps, and our little learners are making wonderful progress as they explore the world of English sounds and words!
From recognising and identifying English alphabets to understanding the sounds each letter makes, our young learners are gradually building a strong foundation in early literacy. With curiosity and enthusiasm, they are learning to connect letters with their corresponding phonic sounds and discovering how individual sounds come together to form meaningful words.
The journey from ABCs to CVCs is an important milestone in a child’s early language development. As our little stars practise blending sounds, they are beginning to confidently read simple Consonant-Vowel-Consonant (CVC) words, turning individual sounds into words they can recognise, pronounce, and understand.
These engaging phonics activities not only help children develop their pronunciation and reading skills but also encourage listening, concentration, vocabulary development, and confidence. Every correctly identified letter, every sound they pronounce, and every word they blend is a small achievement worth celebrating!
We are delighted to watch our little learners grow from recognising letters to confidently putting sounds together. Their excitement and eagerness to learn make every classroom moment special and meaningful.
At our school, we believe that early learning should be joyful, interactive, and encouraging. By making phonics fun and hands-on, we help children develop a love for language while building the essential skills they need for their future reading journey.
Keep exploring, keep sounding, keep blending, and keep shining, little stars! 🌟
